Who Caught The Biggest Bass Of All:
A fisherman from Carlsbad may have caught the worlds next record largemouth bass. "May have" because Mac Weakley said he foul hooked the monster bass. In order to classify as a world record largemouth the fish must be hooked in the mouth while the fish trys to eat the bait or lure.
Regardless of whether the fish makes the record books or not it's quite a story and in our book Weakly has caught the biggest largemouth bass of all. The bass weighed in at an astonishing 25 pounds. If the catch does make the grade it will top the 22-pound, 4-ounce bass caught by George W. Perry in 1932.
Making things just a bit more intesting Weakly has fished for this fish with 2 other fishing buddies over the years and they believe they have caught the same largemouth bass before. See following links for more information.
