Our Favorite Fishing Lures:
The Rapala Down Deep Husky Jerk is a Boyds-Fishing.com all time favorite lure. The Husky Jerk can be trolled or cast. Our favorite color pattern is crawfish. I won't fish a lake without a couple of these in my tackle box.
The Rapala Husky Jerk. Perfectly balanced and true-running, the Husky Jerk is a pure winner in the casting or trolling category. You can dive it and hold it practically motionless in front of their noses until you twitch it again. Painted or with genuine silver plating.
The Heddon Zara Spook is our pick for top water fishing. The back and forth, zig zag motion of this lure drives Bass nuts. Top water baits are best fished in the early morning, evening or at night.
Heddon Wounded Zara Spook ... the ultimate double-prop fishing lure for calling the big ones up to the top. If you want to make a lot of racket on top, the Wounded Spook is your lure. Featuring oversized props on each end of the bait, the Wounded Zara Spook should be fished with a "ripping" action, much like a Heddon Torpedo. This action will cause lots of disturbance on top of the water and will pull up 10 to 15 feet and sometimes even deeper! The Wounded Spook is ideal for species such as largemouth bass, striped bass and peacock bass. The Wounded Spook is ideal in choppy water, because its action will create enough commotion to call fish to the top.
